From the customer order to the finished product.
Which parts are missing? When can production start? What capacity is needed, and how are costs developing? Myfactory PPS brings these questions together in integrated production planning and control.
The connection to Myfactory inventory management includes purchasing, warehousing and sales. You can view manufacturing requirements alongside stock levels and customer orders. This gives small and medium-sized manufacturers a connected view of their workflows.
Multi-level bills of materials and variants
Break products down into materials and assemblies. Multi-level bills of materials also reflect nested product structures. Variant inheritance carries the selected configuration through subsequent manufacturing steps.
Material availability and where-used analysis
The availability explorer uses colour coding to show the availability of bill-of-material items, supporting material preparation. A where-used report shows which bills of materials contain a particular item.
Production orders and feedback
Production orders can be created from manufacturing requirements planning, from sales documents or manually. The order overview lets you track progress, recorded material consumption, time entries and completions.
Operations and resources
Define operations with the resources, times and costs they require. The planning manager displays orders and resource utilisation on a planning board, providing a basis for coordinating capacity.
Plan and simulate schedules
Forward and backward scheduling let you plan manufacturing from the possible start date or the required completion date. Scheduling simulations help you estimate the time required for your orders.
Preliminary and actual costing
Evaluate manufacturing using configurable costing schemes. Compare planned costs with actual costs recorded so far, and use actual costing to investigate variances and improve the basis of future estimates.
Subcontracting and external processing
Include external processing in your manufacturing workflow. Assemblies or individual operations can be marked for subcontracting and connected to purchasing, including the associated purchase orders.
Batches and serial numbers
Myfactory supports traceability through batch and serial number information. Together, we establish which materials and products need identification and how to incorporate this information into your posting workflow.
One workflow. Connected information.
The value comes from working together: preparation considers material requirements and procurement, planning coordinates manufacturing, and feedback makes actual performance available for analysis.
Clarify the order and requirements
The product, quantity and configuration determine the assemblies and materials required. Manufacturing planning is coordinated with procurement and warehousing.
Coordinate schedules and resources
Operations and capacity form the basis of planning. In-house manufacturing and external processing are considered together.
Record consumption and progress
Feedback on materials, time and completion shows order progress. The recorded values feed into the cost comparison.
Your manufacturing is the starting point
Implementing PPS means understanding processes.
Production is one of our consulting specialisms. We review your actual workflows with you: how are orders created? Who plans materials? How are operations, external processing and production feedback organised today?
Structure requirements
We discuss your manufacturing, the departments involved and your main objectives. Using typical orders, we assess which workflows Myfactory needs to support and what data is required.
Configure and test
Bills of materials, operations, resources and costing data are aligned with your processes. We plan data migration, agree customisations and test the workflow with your team.
Train and develop
We train the users involved, support the launch and assist during ongoing operation. When products or manufacturing processes change, we develop the solution with you.
From Gundelfingen near Freiburg, we support businesses throughout Germany. Whether you are introducing PPS or improving your existing Myfactory production setup, we discuss the right starting point with you.
Discuss your productionFrequently asked questions about Myfactory PPS.
Which manufacturing workflows can Myfactory PPS support?
The module is designed for small and medium-sized manufacturers and supports in-house and outsourced production steps. We assess its fit for your specific workflows based on product structures, order types and planning requirements.
Can we migrate existing bills of materials and data?
We review your existing data, agree formats and mappings, and plan the migration. We also check the quality of item master data, bills of materials and operations. The scope is agreed before implementation.
Is the PPS module enough, or do we need extensions?
That depends on your processes and Myfactory configuration. We establish which functions and licences are required and where additional modules or individual customisations would be useful. These questions form part of implementation planning.
Do you also support existing Myfactory production installations?
Yes. We discuss your current workflows and the areas you want to improve, such as master data, production feedback, reporting or how your team works. Together, we define the next steps.
Can we explore Myfactory PPS first?
We would be happy to discuss your requirements in a presentation and explain the relevant PPS functions. Request a presentation or Request demo access.
